Congratulations to Cien Amigos member Eric Guerra!

Eric Guerra is the first Latino to be elected to the Sacramento City Council  in 15 years.  This is an important achievement given that about 27% of Sacramento residents are Hispanic.

Eric is 36 years old and has excellent public service experience.  He has served as Sacramento County Planning Commissioner and has been a State Capitol Assembly staff member for more than a decade.

His humble beginnings, strong work ethic, community involvement and leadership skills have endeared him to our community.  As a child, Eric worked in the Central Valley's agricultural fields picking figs and peaches with his family.  He holds a B.A. and master’s degrees from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS), and is the President-Elect for the CSUS Alumni Association.

Cien Amigos extends our warmest congratulations and best wishes to Councilman Eric Guerra and his family.
