Since 2011, the Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento  has hosted a Women’s Leadership Conference where approximately 250 women leaders come together to celebrate the wisdom and contributions of women in their communities. The objective of the yearly conference is to empower women involved in active roles in their communities, develop a mechanism for continued communication and networking among local community leaders, promote the services offered in the “Ventanilla de Salud” program and inform these women leaders about available resources at the Mexican Consulate, beyond the issuance of passports and consular identification cards.

The 1-day conference includes topics of health and legal and advocacy matters pertinent to Mexican and Latino immigrant communities.
